The Albany County Airport Authority is hereby requesting statements of qualifications from firms with experience. The scope of work includes all necessary professional engineering, design, planning and project management service related to the completion of the proposed replacement of the Terminal Escalators 22 and 23 for the Albany County Airport Authority (ACAA) at Albany International Airport (ALB). The following represents the scope of work for the proposed Escalators. Primary work items for the project are as follows: Prepare for escalator demolition removal and replacement with protective barriers to assure continuous safety of terminal patrons and staff; Schedule escalator demolition removal and replacement work to prevent disruption of terminal operations due to potential construction impacts. Install new “state of the art” transit grade or equivalent replacement escalators incorporating best available energy efficient technology, controls and features. New conduit and wiring associated with replacement escalators; New homerun wiring for affected power and control circuits.
