Third Avenue Culvert Project, Napa CA

Third Avenue Culvert (LOP 208): The proposed repair is to pressure grout or inject epoxy into the cracks of the existing culvert at the west-facing headwall, wingwall and culvert concrete barrier. The cracks measure approximately 20 feet in length. The Engineer's Estimate for Third Ave Culvert (LOP 208): $6,300 Third Avenue Bridge (LOP 209): The headwall on the west side of the bridge structure has a horizontal crack along the length of the headwall. The proposed repair is to remove the top portion of the existing damaged headwall and wingwall and construct a new headwall supported on 18-inch cast-in-drilled-hole (CIDH) piles. The new headwall will be connected to the existing bridge structure with drill and bond dowels. The existing bridge barrier will be removed and replaced with a new concrete barrier. The existing guardrail will be removed and replaced with a new metal beam guard rail type A77Q1-A77Q5. Temporary shoring will be required during demolition work and roadway excavation. The Engineer's Estimate for Third Ave Bridge (LOP 209): $339,000 The work for the three project sites generally consists of: Mobilization Staging area setup Implementation on Erosion and Sediment Control Best Management Practices (BMP) Construction area signs per CAMUTCD standards and Special Provisions Temporary traffic control per CAMUTCD standards and Special Provisions Temporary shoring Clearing and grubbing Excavation and backfill Cast-in-drilled-hole (CIDH) piles Concrete headwall, wingwall, and retaining wall Concrete barrier and MBGR Grading Asphalt pavement Utility protection and coordination with utility agency(ies) Creek dewatering and stream diversion (if required) Auxiliary work shown on the plans and as directed by engineer. All construction activities including any temporary staging shall occur within County right-of-way unless directed otherwise by the engineer. A bid guaranty in the amount of 10% of the total bid shall accompany the bid. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price and a Labor and Material Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price with good and sufficient surety.
