The City of Chico is planning several capital improvement projects, installation of a sewer trunkline for P-18 along Midway from Hegan Lane to Entler Avenue, and along Entler Avenue from Midway to SR99, sewer mains and laterals along Pamela Way and Parkwood Drive, road rehabilitation of Bruce Road from SR32 to California Park Drive, Chico Canyon Road from California Park Drive to Manzanita, and California Park Drive from Bruce Road to Yosemite Drive, and a road reconstruction of North Cedar Street from West Sacramento Avenue to W. 4th Avenue. In advance of the projects the City is seeking potholing services to positively determine the location and depth to various underground utilities including but not limited to water, storm drain, communications, electrical, and gas. The general depth of excavation for the potholes will be between 0 and 5 feet. The actual pothole locations will be marked by the Engineer in the field once utility markings are completed. The preliminary pothole locations for P-18 Sewer Trunkline, North Cedar Street, Pamela Way and Parkwood Drive are shown on the plans. The City is planning to install a 24 inch sewer trunkline from Hegan Lane to SR99. The alignment of the trunkline will be primarily on the easterly edge of Midway and on the northerly side of Entler Avenue to SR99. The City of Chico is planning to install an 8 inch sewer main, manholes and 25 sewer laterals along Parkwood Drive and Pamela Way. Pamela Way and Parkwood Drive are both no outlet residential streets with curb & gutter and parking on both sides of the roadway. The proposed pothole locations are primarily located behind the curb and gutter and within grassy areas, 6 of the proposed potholes are located near the centerline of the roadway. The City of Chico is planning to rehabilitate Bruce Road from the State Right of Way at State Route 32 to East 8th Street, Chico Canyon Road from East 8th Street to Manzanita Way and California Park Drive from Bruce Road to Yosemite Drive. Bruce road is a 4 lane arterial with curb & gutter, sidewalk, a median and bike lanes but no parking or shoulder. Chico Canyon Road is a two lane arterial strip paved roadway with shoulders, California Park is a 2 lane collector with curb & gutter, raised landscape medians, sidewalk and bike lanes. The proposed potholes for Bruce Road are located in the outside lane, closest to the sidewalk, the proposed potholes for Chico Canyon Road are located in the shoulder and the proposed potholes for California Park Drive are located in the shoulder/bike lane.
