This project is located in the North Cascades National Park, in Whatcom County, Diablo, WA on the Diablo Lake. The purpose of this project is to improve the safety of boat refueling operations. This project consists of the following elements of work: Replacement of an existing wood fuel dock with an Owner-provided new aluminum fuel dock and gangway. The dock will be secured in place via 2 metal piles and a new crib wall will replace the existing bulkhead. In addition, a sidewalk, concrete pad, asphalt pavement, concrete retaining wall, and an Owner-provided dry hydrant system will be added along with trench excavation on the shoreline for utilities that are installed by others. Diablo Lake will be lowered low enough to allow the crib wall, concrete retaining wall, and dry hydrant to be installed in the dry. All excavated soil/sediment must be placed in Owner-provided containers for sampling/testing, moving, hauling and disposal by the Owner. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
