Design/Build Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fuel Systems

PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND SCOPE OF WORK: Mooring camels are floating or fixed protective fender systems designed to absorb berthing impacts and safeguard ferry terminal infrastructure and vessel hulls.

The work under this contract includes the restoration and rehabilitation of the existing mooring camel systems serving the two primary berths at the Larkspur Ferry Terminal, a key transportation hub within the San Francisco Bay Area transit network. The scope of work generally includes inspection, repair, replacement, and refurbishment of structural, mechanical, and protective components necessary to return the camel systems to full operational functionality and extend their service life. The MEP and fuel systems portions of the work will be delivered on a design/build basis.

Manson Construction Co. intends to negotiate in good faith with all qualified firms, including small and veteran-owned business enterprises, for project participation in all applicable disciplines. To maximize participation, Manson will work with individual firms to divide scopes of work, where feasible, to align with each firm’s capabilities. Manson will also assist interested firms with questions related to insurance, bonding, and contract requirements.
