Scope / Description
We are requesting bids for the following trades and/or material suppliers:
A) BID ITEM 1: SEAWALL & SIDEWALK REPAIR Attachment 1/Figure 1
1. This is a design-build repair contract to match the adjacent curved concrete seawall design just to the East of this repair. Design shop drawings of concrete reinforced seawall repair to be submitted within 3-weeks of NTP for approval by City Representative prior to construction.
a. Remove existing concrete cap, and loose brick to solid course. Cast new concrete cap, dowel into wall below.
b. Patch voids from dislodged brick face on eastside where back of wall is intact.
c. Backfill behind concrete cap. Cast and place 4000psi, 3” thick concrete sidewalk using epoxy coated rebar #5 over void area.
d. Two sidewalk cut and replacement zones.
i. Location One is approximately 35ft x 15ft.
ii. Location Two is approximately 25ft x 15ft.
e. Existing cap may be used as fill below the sidewalk.
f. NOTE - If this design is to be utilized, the repair shall include drainage to the Bay. Water shall not accumulate on sidewalk, or flow toward the parking lot.
g. A staging area will be available adjacent to project site, but final staging location to be coordinated with project manager prior to construction.
h. Sidewalk cracks to be filled with self-consolidating grout and topped with flexible joint sealant to prevent future water penetration.
i. All rebar and materials to be marine grade quality or epoxy coated to withstand corrosive saline conditions.
j. Contractor is responsible for cleaning site after completion and offhaul of all debris materials.
