Scope / Description
We are requesting bids for the following trades and/or material suppliers:
welders, tank repair, tank constructor, metal fabricator
F. The work to be accomplished will include a limited amount of grinding of
sharp edges that have resulted from corrosion. All sharp edges shall be
ground or otherwise radiused, as required by the Engineer in accordance
with NACE SP0178. Up to a total of 50 linear feet of grinding may be
required, but the full extent of this mechanical work will not be fully
understood until after corrosion has been removed by abrasive blast
cleaning.
G. The steel roof support bars that connect the rafters on the underside of the
roof have some edges with severe corrosion. The work to be
accomplished on these surface will be completed on a best-effort basis
with the level of effort approved by the Owner.
H. Additional mechanical/welding repairs may be required, which would be
completed using the time and material rates submitted under the Contract
optional bid-line item submitted with the bid.
