AWARDING AGENCY/OWNER: Los Angeles County Public Works

PROJECT LOCATION: Long Beach, CA

We are seeking quotes for construction supplies, materials, equipment, and services in addition to quotes from qualified subcontractors for the subject project. 

Project Scope: The general scope of work includes the following:

Removal of existing (3) 48” vertical main pumps and electric motors, (2) 36” vertical main pumps. Furnish and install (3) 48” vertical main pumps with electric motors, (2) 36” vertical main pumps with existing right angle gear drives and gas engines. Rehabilitate existing (2) 36” flap gates, (6) 48” flap gates and eight cage fences, also the existing 10” sump pump discharge pipe with epoxy coating. Shorten the existing 10-inch sump pump discharge pipe in the wet well. Enlarge existing sump pump floor opening with access hatch and install davit system sleeve.  Replacement of existing trash rack with stainless steel trash rack, existing pressure transducer and float switches. Furnish and install flexible couplings for 36” and 48” discharge pipes, pipe hangers for 36” discharge pipes. Removal of existing monorail, existing stairways and catwalk platform in the wet well. Furnish and install catwalk platform to provide access coverage to service all the discharge pipes and fittings (Refer to Structural Plan and Specification). Refer to Electrical Specification sections for all associated electrical work

The selected contractor & its sub-contractors shall comply with California prevailing wage requirements. Community Business Organizations are highly encouraged to provide proposals as this project has a 25% goal of CBE participation.
