The work consists of constructing a new bridge, demolishing an existing bridge, grading the channel, installing rock- slope protection, asphalt paving, installing MGS guardrails, signage and striping, and other bridge appurtenant work.

 

The purpose of this project is to alleviate the flood dangers to motorists by replacing the existing two-lane low water crossing with a bridge over the Mojave River.
