The Project includes:

·        Construction of a new 1.5 million gallon per day drinking water treatment plant,
including a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) with an administrative block for the
Water and Sewer Department offices. This new facility will replace the existing water
treatment plant on-site.
·        Installation of six (6) GreensandPlusTM (GSP) filters for iron and manganese removal.

·        Installation of four (4) Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) vessels for PFAS mitigation

·        Installation of chemical storage area with 110% containment for bulk and day tanks and

chemical metering pumps.

·        Construction of laboratory for drinking water testing and sampling as required by MassDEP.
·        Installation of all piping and appurtenances will be supplied by the Contractor.

·        Installation of new SCADA system and associated instrumentation.

·        Installation of new pumps: including raw water booster, high head, backwash, sludge/waste,
and recycle pumps.

·        Construction of subsurface backwash settling/holding tank on-site.
·        Demolition of existing pump station (“UV Building”) following start-up of new WTP.

·        Demolition of all existing equipment, process piping and valving, electrical instrumentation,
concrete pads, and chemical systems within the water treatment plant main building as shown
on the Drawings once the new plant is commissioned. The existing building is to be converted into a storage facility for DPW operations.
·        The Work also includes all necessary site and utility work necessary to connect to the existing
utilities.
