Project Details-
This is a Design-Build construction project.
The project site is located in Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach Detachment Fallbrook, California
(address 700 Ammunition Road, Fallbrook, CA 92028). There is a parking lot located south of Building 380 that serves as the main parking for government/civilian employees. A concrete stairway serves as the access pathway from the parking lot to the walkway leading to Building 380.
The objectives for the Base Bid scope of work includes:
1) Reestablish bearing below concrete stairs/approach slabs so that the stairs/slabs are safe to walk on. Currently there are voids underneath the stairs due to erosion and rodent burrowing. Applying Polyurethane Foam is the method to reestablish bearing for the concrete stairs/approach slabs.
2) Protect stairs against future rodent burrowing and erosion that would undermine stairs/slabs
3) Prevent sedimentation on walkways leading from concrete stairs to Building 380
4) Install new solar lighting and handrail loops/painting.
The objectives for the Options scope of work includes:
1) Placing erosion protection in/on an erosion gully in the slope close to the parking lot.
2) Cleanout and inspect a storm drain, which consist of a conduit with multiple catch basin and terminates at an outlet culvert.
Assistance will be available in obtaining bonds, lines of credit, insurance, necessary equipment, supplies, materials or related technical assistance.
