General Work Description: All of the work to be performed is within the Town of Windsor and generally consists of transportation improvements at the intersection of Windsor River Road and Windsor Road, including construction of a multi-use pathway along 800-feet of SMART railroad tracks connecting to the intersection. Work generally includes demolition of existing improvements, drainage and storm drain modifications and improvements, miscellaneous utility construction, pavement sections, sidewalks and pathways, curb and gutter and other concrete flat work, construction of a roundabout and at-grade vehicular rail crossing system and equipment, cold planing the existing roadway surface, street lighting, landscaping and irrigation, and temporary traffic signal modifications, traffic control and stage construction with coordination between the Town of Windsor and Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART). Other miscellaneous improvements, among others, including improvements to a Town owned public parking lot, storm water low impact development improvements, paving, signing, striping and traffic control/public notification and coordination.
