Description

Park development will include: Creating day use parking/access along the beach. Providing new CXT restroom vaults and shade structures at the day use areas. Construction of up to three new campgrounds sites with power and water to each site with sewer capabilities of one - two host sites per campground. Modern full-service restrooms/showers in each campground that will likely be replica buildings of those that already exist throughout the park system. There will be one larger dump station located somewhere in the park for RVs to dump their waste. This dump station will require working with the Health Department and obtaining a septic permit. Constructing an improved walking path to the high-water line for non-motorized watercraft access. A radio/communications tower located in the best possible location within the park. A maintenance building for storage and light work stations. Park Ranger and staff housing (such as a duplex) that will be able be sufficient enough to house a larger family with the other side sized for a smaller family. An entrance station that may range from 1,500-2,500 square feet with office space, break room, restroom and retail area. This entrance building will most like be a replica of an entrance building already constructed throughout the state parks system. Possibility of trail head, trail systems and roadways around the reservoir. Expansion of an existing boat ramp that will include going below high-water line which will require working with the Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE). The design team will be required to work with additional consultants that will be employed by DFCM to assist the programming / design to work through any necessary governmental permits or approvals from the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) and ACOE. Bonds required.
