Description

The California Department of Food and Agriculture is in need of a contractor to perform aerial insecticide applications against the sugar beet leafhopper. A stand-by contract is required for the aerial application of insecticide on rangeland, fallow fields, and over oil fields to control the sugar beet leafhopper (BLH), the vector of beet curly top virus (BCTV), for the Beet Curly Top Virus Control Program (BCTVCP). The contractor is to provide, on 72-hour notice, helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, and qualified pilots with current pest control applicators certification, and trained ground crews, as more fully set out in the attached. This will be a three-year contract for Aerial applications primarily at various locations throughout the San Joaquin Valley, Salinas Valley and Cuyama Valley, but can occur anywhere in the state.
