Description
The proposed project is located on the Navajo Nation, between the communities of Tsegi
and Kayenta, in Navajo County, on US 160, beginning at Milepost 372.50 and extending
northeast along US 160 to Milepost 389.48. The proposed work consists of milling and
replacing existing asphalt concrete pavement, placing chip seal coat, removing and
replacing guardrail and guardrail end terminals, constructing cattle guards, excavating and
scaling rocks, signing, and other related work. This project is located on a Native American Reservation, in the Navajo Nation area, which may subject the contractor to the laws and regulations of the Navajo Nation and its TERO office. Contractors are advised to make themselves aware of any taxes, fees or any conditions that may be imposed by the Navajo Nation on work performed on the Reservation. The time allowed for the completion of the work included in this contract will be 260 calendar days. Prequalification required. DBE goal is 2.14%. Bonds and prevailing wages
