Montgomery County Detention Center (MCDC) Partial Demolition, Rockville, MD

The Montgomery County Detention Center (MCDC) Partial Demolition project includes demolition of the CIU, G-Wing Modulars, and Levels Building buildings at Montgomery County Detention Center located at 1307 Seven Locks Rd, Rockville, MD 20854. MCDC Partial Demolition project includes but not limited to demolition and removal of on-site buildings hardscape and site features as shown on the Site Demolition Plan which is included as Attachment P and removal and hauling of all demolished materials, their legal disposal, recycling or salvage, as appropriate, of underground structures, foundations as specified, except for the common footing adjacent to the gymnasium and CIU, conduits, building structures, roofs, and all related concrete. The work includes abandonment of the sanitary sewer pipe at the manhole, removal of the sanitary sewer pipe and water pipe as shown on the Site Demolition Plan. The scope of work does not include the removal of site work including sidewalks, parking lots, roadways. The work also requires the Contractor to remove and legally dispose of all trash and debris remaining on site. The Contractor will not be allowed to install an on-site crushing facility. Contractor will not be allowed to use any type of blasting. The Contractor will provide all sediment control including permitting, traffic control, site security, tree protection, site stabilization and positive drainage, as required by the Owner, AHJ, and City of Rockville standards. Q&A due by 10am, 6/28/21. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply.
