Description

The scope of work includes construction of a water treatment facility which will utilize 3 greensand pressure filtration vessels to remove iron and manganese from the water from the existing groundwater wells. The facility will be located adjacent to the town’s existing Corrosion Control Facility (CCF) located at 53 Elm St, Blackstone, MA, 01504. The work also includes the renovations of the existing CCF including demolition of existing equipment and installation of new equipment, including improvements to existing systems. Bid alternates include work at remote well sites and upgrades to HVAC systems at the existing CCF. The required contract completion period will be the date specified below based on an anticipated “Notice to Proceed” date of September 1, 2021. Date of substantial completion is December 31, 2022 and final completion is April 30, 2023. General Contractor's category of certification Sewage and Water Treatment Plants. Sub bids will be received until June 30, 2021 at 2:00pm. Sub trades include Waterproofing, Damp proofing and Caulking, Painting, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, and Miscellaneous Metal.
