LBTCO Automation System Upgrade, Long Beach, CA

LBT is seeking a proposal to upgrade the existing Automated Logic Controls (ALC) building automation system. This project seeks to accomplish three objectives: 1.) Add missing Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to the ALC building automation system; 2.) Upgrade the server, software and older-generation ALC controls on the 8th floor and other locations; 3.) Convert the 1st and 7th floor Variable Air Volume (VAV) terminal units from pneumatic to DDC control. The balance of floors 2 through 6 will be converted from pneumatic to DDC in the future on a case-by-case basis. The project seeks to standardize both hardware and software and more importantly provide greater systems control to minimize energy consumption.
