Remove existing steel sash and Alum. XO windows from existing hollow metal sub frames. This will require grinding off welds on steel sash window connections to sub-frames and unscrewing and removing existing XO units. Fixed window glazing install will consist of installing new window stops to the interior and exterior side of the Hollow Metal sub-frames and installing 1" tempered insulated units with Guardian high performance Low-E glass AE " Sun Guard SNX 51/23 units. New XO windows units shall be Anderson 100 series fibrex tempered XO units screwed to the sub-frames, one in each classroom. According to Special Instructions, Terms, & Conditions Item No. 30 - use of a brand name is used to establish the general quality level desired. You will also install 39 each. new 1 W' X 4" X 50 3/8" long 1/8" steel tube welded to existing sub-frames for glazing supports. This tube steel will also require primer and finish paint, matching existing color. Furnish and install all sealants and glazing per HMMA for a watertight installation.
