Description
Electronic Bidding. The project will improve pedestrian access along El Cajon Boulevard from Highland Avenue to Chamoune Avenue and will include, but not limited to, constructing raised medians, curb extensions, curb ramps, continental crosswalks, striping, and pavement markings. The project will also install a Hybrid Pedestrian Crossing Systems (HAWK) at El Cajon Boulevard and 45th Street, and install street lighting along El Cajon Boulevard under WBS B21065. This project includes three bid alternates that modify the total number of streetlights installed. Alternative 'A' adds one additional streetlight (streetlight number 8 from the plans) to the project; Alternative 'B' adds two additional streetlights (streetlights number 8 and 9 from the plans) to the project; Alternative 'C' adds three additional streetlights (streetlights number 8, 9, 10 from the plans) to the project. Bonds and Prevailing Wages. Contract time 180 working days. SLBE participation.
