Description
The County of Alameda is exploring the development of a new first-class cellular
communication broadcast site near its Fairmont Campus in Castro Valley and at Highland
Hospital Campus in Oakland and the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. The County
seeks proposals from qualified broadcasters, cellular providers, and other users of cell sites for
use of these prime broadcast sites. The first of three County properties under consideration is located at Fairmont Drive directly off Foothill Blvd., Castro Valley, APN 08A-0153-012. The site is almost directly across from the Alameda County Sheriff Department Substation located at 15001 Foothill Blvd and
approximately 540 feet from the West MacArthur 580 Freeway. The site is currently undeveloped and will require an access road, concrete pad and fencing. It is County’s intent that the site will be accessed, operated and maintained independently of all surrounding County facilities. The second of three properties under consideration is Highland Hospital located at 1411 East 31st St., Oakland, APN 22-358-1-1 The third of three properties under consideration is the Alameda County Fairgrounds located at 4501 Pleasanton Ave., Pleasanton APN 946-3485-1-7.
