The Primary Emergency Operations Center (EOC) improvements includes the remodel and expansion of the existing (EOC) located at the Public Safety Complex. The primary EOC will provide critical support for the Town’s current and long-term needs allowing the Town of Gilbert to deliver a high quality public safety service. The primary EOC project will be coordinated with the backup EOC planned at the Public Safety Training Facility. Bonds required. The CM@R will be performing work in a public safety and criminal justice facility and will be surrounded by sensitive information. Security protocols will be in place during design and construction. Contractor personnel will be required to have a background check. The Primary Emergency Operations Center (EOC) improvements includes the remodel and expansion of the existing (EOC) located at the Public Safety Complex. The primary EOC will provide critical support for the Town’s current and long-term needs allowing the Town of Gilbert to deliver a highquality public safety service. The primary EOC project will be coordinated with the backup EOC planned at the Public Safety Training Facility. The intent is that the backup EOC will be built under a separate CIP project, MF0400. Both spaces (MF2527 and MF0400) will be designed to function in concert with each other or each as a stand-alone depending on the situation and circumstances. Once designed, the implementation of the audio-visual equipment would be completed to function symmetrically. Both locations will be interactive to allow for interoperability and ease of use. The spaces will be equipped with technology, which will allow for growth and ability to operate in a constantly changing public safety environment. The intent is that both spaces will function as Emergency Operations Centers with the added functionality of a Tactical Operations Center for active incident management as well.
