RFP Inspection Services for the Sulphur Fire Road Rehabilitation Project, Clearlake, CA

The project consists of the resurfacing of existing roadways due to accelerated damage due to the Sulphur Fire Disaster of 2017. A map of the project area is included in Appendix B. The project will include rehabilitation of the mainline, driveway and shoulder and asphalt pavement. The resurfacing lane widths varies from 20 ft. to 24 ft. and the shoulder width varies from 1 ft. to 4 ft. All roadways are single lanes in each direction (two-lane roads). There are some culverts that will be replaced within the existing footprint. Some adjustments to existing drainage may be required and shall be at the discretion of the selected consultant. Adjustments to existing driveways in order to maintain access and drainage features may be necessary in order to maintain existing drainage patterns. With respect to construction traffic control our intent is to carry out construction activities on one lane at a time during the course of this project and utilize flag men and delineators to facilitate through traffic in each direction, alternately on the opposing lane. Construction activities will need to be adjusted as necessary in order to maintain access to private property by home and business owners along each roadway. A CBDG-Disaster Recovery Project.
