Description
The work includes but is not limited to: demolition and disposal of the existing 1,800 square foot building entirely including concrete slab and foundation to 18" below current finished grade. All asbestos containing materials shall be removed by the county prior to the work of this contract. If any other material is uncovered during demolition that is suspect asbestos, the contractor shall stop work and immediately bring the concern to the attention of the county representative. Work shall be conducted in a cautious manner as the building adjacent to the north property line and neighboring business property. Demolition and disposal of concrete curbs and asphalt pavement to be replaced by new concrete curb and asphalt per plan. The contractor shall perform final site grading and restoration in affected areas. New concrete curbs, asphalt paving and subgrade preparation, final parking lot stall striping per plan. There is no new drainage structure work involved. The lot has ample drywells and a rain garden. Fencing where indicated to match existing type and installation. Re-striping of designated spaces and the addition of 1 accessible space. Signage for a total of 3 spaces. Clearing of minor trees, shrubs, and vegetation within planting bed areas as indicated on plans to be graded and mulched. Furnish barriers as requested to corral the work area leaving the maximum existing parking area accessible to occupants when possible. Project construction duration 30days. MBE goal is 7% and WBE goal is 5%. Bonds and prevailing wages
