Description

The Long Beach Water Department (LBWD) is seeking the services of an engineering consultant for the hydrogeological evaluation, engineering design, and construction management services for constructing two new wells, with an option to build up to two additional wells, and destruction of two existing wells in the City of Long Beach, California.The PROJECT includes site assessments, the drilling and equipping of new wells, enclosures, site improvements, electrical work, supervisory controls (SCADA) work, and pressurized conveyance pipelines for the new wells and the destruction of two existing wells. Work will also include the design of new conveyance lines connecting the two to four new wells to LBWD’s well main collection lines. The four proposed well sites are: Camp Fire 1 (CF 1), Commission 23A (COM 23A), El Dorado 1 (DOR 1), and Citizens 8A (CIT 8A). CF 1 would be located at the southeast corner of East Carson St & Los Coyotes Diagonal inside Camp Fire Facilities. COM 23A would be located adjacent to existing well COM 23, which is located inside El Dorado Regional Park North at the northeast corner of E Wardlow Rd and the San Gabriel River. DOR 1 would be located at the southeast corner of E Spring St and Studebaker Rd inside El Dorado Regional Park West. CIT 8A would be located adjacent to existing well CIT 8 which is located outside the Skylinks Golf Course at the northwest corner of E. Wardlow Rd. and Clark Ave.
