Peter Street Extension, Union City, NJ

The project consists of extending the existing Peter Street from Hudson Avenue to Palisade Avenue. Improvements include installation of a full depth pavement section, curb, scored sidewalk with decorative band, ADA compliant curb ramps, installation of lighting foundations, shade trees, rectangular tree wells, traffic markings, speed humps and regulatory and warning signs. Work shall also include construction of a dog park north of the proposed sidewalk, along the extension. Work associated with the proposed dog park includes installation of fencing and gates, an 8’ X 12’ pavilion, benches, water fountains, synthetic turf, and landscaping improvements including construction of proposed planter beds. This contract also includes improvements to Peter Street from Hudson Avenue to Park Avenue. Work from Hudson Avenue to Park Avenue includes widening of the existing cartway by removing the existing curb and four feet (4’) of existing sidewalk from the north side and installing two feet (2’) of sidewalk and curb. Work shall also include HMA milling and paving, installation of traffic markings, speed humps, and shade trees. Bonds required and prevailing wages.
