Description

All interior finish specifications are included herein or in attached apply. Discrepancies, omissions, discontinued or delayed materials are to be reported to the owner immediately for resolution prior to procuring materials or proceeding with work. The owner is not responsible for discrepancies or omissions that arise due to changes by another party after initial issuance of bid documents. Install all finish materials according to manufacturer's instructions. Base cabinet plastic laminate toe kicks to match corresponding base cabinet plastic laminate specification, UNO. All wet walls to receive cladding, provide with cement backer board and mortar. Prepare surfaces for accepting of finishes per manufacturer's recommendations. Provide danback flexible wood backing in areas to receive overhead cabinets, tv/display screens, markerboards and any other locations where items will be attached to the finished walls. If owner's written description of color name, number and manufacturer's information are in conflict, contact owner for clarification before ordering materials. Refer to interior elevation sheets, which identify the room and wall (north, south, east or west) on which the cabinetry is located and/or coordinated with floor plans. Use ¾ inch Baltic birch plywood (referred to as birch-ply) for the construction of all paneling and blocking. Back panels may be ½ inch if uppers cabinet backs are provided with a ¾ inch thick by 6 inches tall nailer secured to side panels with 3 pocket hole screws at each side and the inside back surface is flush from top to bottom at the top of back panel. Joinery shall consist of waterproof glue and pocket hole screws at 6” oc, minimum. Screws must be installed from pocket hole into adjoining panels perpendicular to ply’s. All worksurfaces and countertops are pl-2 UNO. Provide finished end panels and/or end returns at open ended cabinetry (including knee spaces). Provide plastic laminate clad trim and filler panels where equipment is located within cabinet units. All panels shall be milled from new materials free of defects. Use ½ inch white laminated draw sides, fronts and backs with 3/16 inch bottoms or prefinished Baltic birch with faux wood finish plastic laminate top edge. Provide side splashes where countertops abut walls at sides UNO. Provide countertop brace supports at 48" oc max. At knee spaces & lavatory counters UNO. Provide 3" dia. Grommets at back of worksurface countertops (1 gromet per seat). Exact location to be coordinated with the owner in the field at the time of installation. Provide blocking within partition for all cabinetry attached to walls. See details for attachment details. Provide all straight run countertops that have sinks, with separate backsplash to countertop. File drawer clear inside dimensions are 13.5" wide by 10.5" high by 20.5" deep, minimum. Cabinet unit depth is as shown on section UNO on elevation(s). For field applied mirrors, extend mirrors from the top of countertop splash to 6'-0" above finished floor, UNO. Provide bottom closure for filler panels at toe spaces and at bottom of upper wall cabinets to close off and seal tight all concealed openings. All millwork/casework to be pl-1 UNO. Provide locks on doors and drawers where noted in the owner’s scope documents. Bonds required.
