HVAC Upgrades SPB Water Pollution Control Facility, Waterbury, CT

The HVAC Upgrades will focus on replacing four air handling units and two air conditioning units in the process areas of the Sludge Processing Building, including replacing all the hot water unit heaters in the entire building. The Automatic Temperature Controls associated with the replaced equipment (which currently is pneumatic) will also be replaced with a direct digital based controls. Another area of this project will be installing CMU partitions and doors to prevent the migration of H2S gas into other areas of the building. Various hollow metal doors will be replaced with fiberglass doors and high density strip curtains will be installed on the south side of the Belt Filter Press platform to better contain the H2S in order for it to be removed by the Odor Control system. The Successful Proposer shall substantially complete all work and services required under this Contract within Two Hundred Seventy (270) consecutive calendar days of the City's written Notice to Proceed and shall reach final completion within Three Hundred Sixty-Five (365) consecutive calendar days of the City’s written Notice to Proceed.
