Furnish and Install Team InsertValve 4" to 12", Suffolk County, NY

Work to be performed by contractor: the contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment and tools required to perform the installation of Team InsertValves sizes 4" to 12". All Team InsertVavles (sizes 4" to 12"), accessories and concrete support blocking shall be furnished by the contractor. The contractor shall clean the exterior of the main to create a surface capable of receiving the Team InsertValve. Contractor shall be responsible for grinding down any raised lettering on the host pipe and taking pipe O.D. measurements as needed. Concrete block(s) shall be set to support the area beneath the Team InsertValve assembly. The contractor shall perform all phases of the Team InsertValve mechanical installation, including pressure test, cut, and final valve assembly. Assembled valve shall be leak free and be easily operated with a valve key. Final testing for operation of the valve shall be witnessed by an Authority representative. Contractor shall set valve box base, top section and lid with the operating nut centered for easy keying. The contractor shall be responsible for preparing a valve sketch depicting the newly installed valve with no less than three measurements taken from fixed objects and documented on said sketch. Additionally, a shop drawing shall be completed that indicates the size, year, serial and or model number (if applicable) and any specific details or mention within these specifications shall not be deemed a waiver of contractor's obligation to supply adequate labor, equipment and materials to satisfactorily complete each project.
