Bullet Resistant Barriers, Hagerstown, MD

The County of Washington, Maryland invites bids for the installation of bullet resistant barriers. Scope includes, but is not limited to: Main Lobby: Remove and dispose of two (2) existing double doors and one (1) single door leaving the existing related framing and wiring. Install two (2) sets of Level 3 medium stile aluminum double doors using UL Level 3 Glass-Clad Polycarbonate (GCP) glazing, including (4) new Select hinges, (4) heavy-duty closers, (4) standard push bars and pull handles, and prepped for new Maglocks (by others). Maglock wiring and electronics by others. One (1) Level 3 medium stile aluminum single door with UL Level 3 GCP glazing, Select hinge, closer, standard push bar and pull handle, and prepped for new Maglock by others. On existing storefront window framing, install UL Level 3 LP-1250 and 2 piece channel to fill the window area. At Licensing Dept.: Install four (4) BRG window units: a. Level 3 clear bullet resistant glass over existing exterior windows; b. Construct using aluminum faming to attach to existing window structure; c. construct each window unit, using two (2) panel of BRG with hinges, to allow for proper maintenance of existing windows; d. include locking capability at the bottom of panels and non-locking latches at top of panels. All work to be completed by 12/31/21. Q&A due by 4pm, 7/21/21. Bonds required.
