Recycling Services, Portsmouth, VA

The purpose of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to contract with a responsive, responsible bidder to provide recycling services for the School Board of the City of Portsmouth, (hereinafter referred to as PPS) for approximately twenty-five (25) locations throughout Portsmouth, VA. Contractor shall provide collection service and 8 cubic yard containers to remove recyclables from all PPS’ facilities as shown on Appendix B –Bid Form 2. Contractor shall distribute the material to appropriate recycling facility and ensure that the materials are reused or recycled for the manufacture of new materials. Contractor shall assist the PPS’ staff, as required, to ensure that the recycling program is effective at each facility in order to reduce the quantity of materials disposed at the landfills.
