Description
The Runway 5R-23L and Taxiway D Strengthening and Capacity Enhancement Project at IND is a multi-year reconstruction of Runway 5R-23L, parallel Taxiway D, and the associated
connector taxiways. This project is considered Package 1 of the multi-year construction program which covers the scope of services to be constructed in 2022. The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to: Full depth reconstruction of Runway 5R-23L; Full-depth reconstruction of Taxiway D; Full-depth reconstruction of Taxiway Connectors; Rehabilitation of vehicle service roads; Installation of permanent electrical infrastructure for lighted runway closure marker; Proposed ARFF watermain construction; Replacement of existing storm sewer and cured-in-place lining for storm sewer rehabilitation; New airfield lighting and signage and duct bank; and New runway NAVAIDS and Service Roads. DBE documentation required. Bonds required.
