Maintenance: Street Light Maintenance & Repairs, Salt Lake City, UT

The City’s street lighting system includes over 15,668 streetlights of various types and wattages, some of which have single heads and some of which have multiple heads. The streetlight maintenance services are set forth in the attached Sample Agreement, Exhibit “A”. The City is currently installing LED streetlights, which are currently under several manufacturers’ warranties. It is anticipated that very little maintenance be performed on these lights and many are still under warranty. As of March 2021, 7650 lights are LED. It is anticipated that maintenance needs will be rare for these lights The City will continue to pursue energy efficient types of lighting and other technologies to reduce electrical consumption. Further, the City has developed a 2020 Streetlight Master Plan, which if adopted, will replace the 2006 Streetlight Master Plan. Bonds required. Questions due 8/3/21.
