Safe Routes To School Claymont Elementary Phase 2 –The improvements consist of furnishing all labor and materials for New sidewalk on the north side of Court Avenue connecting to a new ADA compliant curb ramp on the northwest corner of Court Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue; Four larger Stop Signs at the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Green Street, along with the “STOP” symbol striped on all four approaches; A new pedestrian crossing of Green Street at the intersection with Lawson Avenue, consisting of a bump out on the southeast corner and ADA compliant curb ramps; School Zone signage and striping improvements. Safe Routes To School Downes Elementary - The improvements consist of furnishing all labor and materials for Bike lane markings along Casho Mill Rd between Pickett Lane and Nottingham Rd; Pedestrian Refuge Island in Casho Mill Rd at the South School entrance with a new curb ramp on the east side of the Casho Mill Rd across from the entrance. School Zone signage improvements. Work to start on or about 9/13/21, and must be complete within 68 calendar days. DBE goal 12%. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply.
