Description

The Work includes the replacement of Air Handling Unit #5 from an interior horizontal unit to a rooftop mounted unit. The contractor(s) will be required to coordinate closely with the Chemung County Nursing Facility, Buildings and Grounds department, and each contract package. Each contractor shall be responsible for all costs related to permits and shall be responsible for obtaining required permits. Contractors Package #1 refer to contract drawings and specifications: The contract documents define removal and replacement of AHU-5 and PV-35 systems. This contact shall be the lead contractor and shall be responsible for coordinating all work with the nursing facility and Temperatures controls Contract Package #2. This contract includes demolition of AHU-5 piping systems, pumps, and ductwork electrical power to pumps, removal of control valves and removal of PV-35. This contract includes demolition of electrical power supply for pneumatic control panels. This contract scope includes removing the chilled water and heating water piping. This contract includes purchase and install of AHU-5 and PV-35. This contract includes removal and replacement ceiling system in clean linen room, removal and replacement of lighting system in clean linen room. This contract includes roof removal and flashing at AHU-5, as well as structural support. Coordination of his work shall be the responsibility of this contractor to verify control interface requirements. This contract includes installation of tapings and gauge piping as well as all thermowells. This contract includes patching of air handling unit plenum walls with double wall galvanized and insulation. This contract scope includes cleaning & flushing and water treatment for piping systems included in the contract scope and documents. This contract includes coordination and assistance in system commissioning, including start up. This contract includes testing and balancing. This contract scope includes providing and installing all pipe thermowells as required for piping temperature sensors. This contract shall be responsible for tagging all control valves. All power supply to air handling units, Power Ventilators shall be the responsibility of this contract. Contractor will be responsible to receive from Temperatures controls Contract Package #2 control valves and install in heating and chilled water piping systems. Coordination is required for all control damper actuators, demolition of existing systems, and installation of the replacement system. This contractor shall be responsible for the overall project schedule, incorporating and coordinating scheduled of Temperatures controls Contract Package #2. Temperature Controls Contract #2 refer to contract drawings and specifications: This contract is part of the county agreed services agreement for temperature controls. Work of this contract shall be performed by Day Automation. This contract scope as an extension of the existing facility automation (DDC) control system shall convert pneumatic based controls to DDC control for AHU-5 and PV-35, controls systems. This contract scope includes purchasing of control valves and turning over to contract one for piping installation, this contract includes control interface to these control valves. This contract includes installation of all field devices in air handling units, all space sensors, pneumatic tubing, low voltage control wiring, and unitary controller power for controllers. This contract includes removal of pneumatic controls and tubing. This contract scope includes all control system demolition. This contract scope includes removal and replacement of existing ceiling systems as required in areas beyond the clean linen room. This contract scope includes temperature control system point to point testing, commissioning, and control verification reports. This contract scope includes coordinating required construction with Contract #1 and providing construction support and timing to maintain construction schedule defined by contract #1. Contract award is expected to be approximately late September 2021 to late October 2021. Project substantial completion date shall be March 30, 2022.
