Description
The work consists of construction of a new 1.69 MGD water treatment plant to treat raw water from three existing wells (wells 3, 5, and 7). The Town of Easton is currently experiencing declining water quality in two of the wells. The proposed site includes a below grade finished water clear well, residual handling lagoons, storm water bioretention
areas, and a 6,900 s.f. metal building that will contain the treatment system. This system includes four vertical pressure filters, chemical feed and storage, piping, pumps and motors, air scour blower, and a future PFAS treatment area. The work includes, but is not limited to, hydraulics, civil/site, process mechanical, instrumentation and controls,
architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and Construction is expected to begin in December 2021. Work done on Well Station 3 and the Water Treatment Plant shall be completed within 550 calendar days following the Notice to Proceed. Work done
on Well Stations 5 and 7 shall be completed within 60 days following substantial completion of the Water Treatment Plant. The DCAMM certificate of eligibility to be submitted by the General Bidder shall be for the category of work defined as “Sewage and Water Treatment Plants”. Bonds
