Wade Utility Plant Chiller 7 Replacement & System Improvements, West Lafayette, IN

The Trustees of Purdue University will solicit and interview prospective CMc firms for the Wade Utility Plant Chiller 7 Replacement and System Improvements project. The RFP process will consist of two stages. The first stage (RFP-A/B) will be a qualifications based review. From these responses, firms will be shortlisted to proceed to the next stage. The second stage (RFP-C) will consist of interviews, which Purdue expects the interview to be face-to-face, but a virtual interview may occur due to the current CDC Covid-19 and Protect Purdue guidelines. This project will replace the existing 3,000 ton steam chiller 7 with a new 5,000 ton electric chiller, to be referred to as chiller 14, at the Wade Utility Plant on the West Lafayette campus. Additionally, this project will modify the existing mechanical and plumbing infrastructure at the Northwest Chiller Plant to improve the plant’s capacity by 1,500 tons. Bonds required.
