Sassafras Street Widening, San Diego, CA

The Work includes the furnishing of labor, materials, equipment, and incidental items meeting the technical requirements of these specifications for the project Sassafras Street Widening. The work consists of, but not limited to the following: 1. Adding a second eastbound lane by widening the existing street. 2. Reconstructing the medians along the length of the street and construction of new pavement along the north side of the street. 3. Improvements to the railroad crossing including an expanded crossing and replacement signals, and installation of pedestrian ramps and gates. 4. Construction of a new Queue Cutter Traffic Signal on Sassafras Street at the railroad crossing in both directions of travel and modification of the railroad preemption at the traffic signals at Pacific Highway and Kettner Blvd. B. It is intended that the work be completed in every respect under the Contract, and such items or details not mentioned above that are required by the Contract documents shall be furnished, performed, placed, constructed, or installed by the Contractor.
