25th Avenue Pedestrian Boulevard Construction, Aurora CO

The 25th Avenue Pedestrian Boulevard Construction project involves construction of a 10-foot pedestrian boulevard on the north side of 25th Avenue between Fulton Street and Iola Street located in Aurora, Colorado. Work performed shall include, but is not limited, to: Relocating the existing curb line to narrow the street from a 40‐foot section to a 36‐foot section. The relocated curbs narrow the travel lanes from 12 feet to 10 feet, maintaining on‐street parking. The project also includes crosswalks to access the north side of 25th Avenue. The existing curb ramps at the pedestrian signal east of Hanover Street will be reconstructed to current City standards. The pavement markings for the signal will be reinstalled. Throughout the project area pedestrian ramps have been designed and will be reconstructed to City Standard within the Roadway Design and Construction Manual (2016), available online at: https://www.auroragov.org/UserFiles/Servers/Server_1881137/File/Business%20Services/Development%20Center/Code%20&%20Rules/Design%20Standard/Engineering%20Design%20Standard/2016%20Roadway%20Design%20and%20Construction%20Specifications.pdf. Pedestrian lighting and roadway striping and signage along the roadway will be updated to reflect the new configuration and to meet current City of Aurora standards, refer to Attachment B – Public Light Construction Standards. Anticipated Construction Period: March 1, 2022 to August 31, 2022. A warranty period will not be applicable to this project. Any reference to a warranty period throughout this Project Manual or any of its Attachments shall be disregarded. Bonds, Insurance and Prevailing Wages. SBE participation. Project to be completed prior to Aug 31, 2022.
