Municipal Waste Transport and Disposal. York County, SC

The requested solid waste transportation services shall be for all municipal solid waste (MSW) generated within York County and delivered to the County Transfer Station for disposal. Currently all municipalities and many private collection firms bring solid waste to the County for disposal. These parties may opt to choose other methods for managing their solid waste. Therefore, York County makes no warranties as to minimum, maximum or average amounts of MSW to be transported as a result of this Request and/or a subsequent agreement. Solid waste to be transported will include only municipal solid waste. York County will continue to provide disposal services for construction and demolition debris, white goods, tires, and land clearing debris. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and insurance necessary to provide professional hauling services. The Contractor shall have available at all times sufficient trailers and adequately trained drivers to transport MSW collected by York County on a daily basis. Peak loads, holidays and other foreseeable circumstances will not relieve the successful Bidder from this obligation. It is anticipated that services will begin on November 1. 2021. This date may change due to any number of circumstances. Insurance Required.
