Bridge Replacement: SR 3029 over East Branch Wyalusing Creek, Jessup, PA

For the improvement of certain section of highways and bridges in Susquehanna County, Jessup Township, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, State Route 0239, Section 10S. The project being situated as follows: Susquehanna County SR 3029 over East Branch Wyalusing Creek (SR 3029-10S) - From Segment 0130 Offset 0000 to Segment 1030 Offset 1348. Susquehanna County SR 3029 over Tributary Forest Lake Creek (SR 3029-D51) – From Segment 0150 Offset 2344 to Segment 0160 Offset 0269. The SR 3029-10S project consists of the replacement of the existing one-lane single span steel stringer bridge with a two-lane single-span prestressed concrete beam bridge, with integral abutments, on a slightly shifted alignment, and will utilize a two-stage construction approach to maintain one lane of traffic. Additionally, the project consists of mill and overlay section, full depth reconstruction, utility relocations, and guide rail installation. Minor drainage work includes a relocated ditch in the northeast quadrant. The SR 3029-D51 project is that the existing structure is deteriorated and does not meet the current design standards. The concrete parapets and curbs exhibit spalling with exposed reinforcement. The reinforced concrete slab has cracks, delaminations, spalls, efflorescence, and areas of exposed reinforcement. The concrete abutments display open vertical cracks, delaminations, spalls, and efflorescence. The footings are exposed full length with heavy abrasion and scour/undermining is present. The substructure is in overall poor condition with a potential for increased undermining of the footings. Total project length of 1,672 linier feet (0.317 miles), all as indicated on the approved drawings included in the bid package. DBE goal 2%. Prequalification required. Prevailing wages apply.
