Description
Scope of Work will include removing all carpet in the office areas and replacing with vinyl plank flooring. The attached sketch highlights the following rooms for removal and replacement. The contractor will be responsible for moving all furniture, file cabinets, computers, and printers out of the planned work area. Removing all carpet, prepping floor, installing new flooring and putting furniture and cabinets back in place before next office work session. All furniture will have to be put in place a minimum of 4 hours before next work shift to allow reconnections and checkout. All material and tools will have to be removed and or stored to make certain the public and staff will have full access to the building areas. Contractor is responsible for properly disposal of old carpet off site. Work areas must be cleaned and ready for use by staff and public for the next work shift. The existing concrete floor will be thoroughly cleaned with no particulate manner left that will show through the new flooring material. Contractor to include proper floor sealer for cracks and or imperfections in existing floor. The new flooring will be Smartcore Ultra UV630-00601, 7.5 mm thickness. Lexington Oak-50SLVF601 or approved equal. Approval request for alternates must be submitted prior to bid submittal. The intent it to make the flooring continuous through doors and opening. The only two transitions will be at the doors from the main lobby, A100, to the work areas. These transitions will be heavy traffic rated with color to be selected by Owner. Located at 1400 Martin St., Newberry, SC. Insurance Required. Bonds.
