Description
The project includes the replacement of existing 6”, 8”, and 10” cast iron water mains, totaling approximately 20,100 linear feet, with new 8” and 12” ductile iron cement lined class 52 water mains. The project is in the Manomet section of Plymouth, along the following streets: Brook Road; Bartlett Road from Ray Road to State Road; Manomet Point Road from State Road to Kevin Avenue; White Horse Road from State Road to Robbins Hill Road; Robbins Hill Road; Priscilla Beach Road; Rocky Hill Road from White Horse Road to Guide Board Road; and at Manomet Elementary School from Manomet Point Road to Asiaf Way. The purpose of the project is to reduce system pressure surges; eliminate hydraulic constraints, thus increasing water supply; eliminate fire flow deficiencies; and improve the overall redundancy and resiliency of the water system.
