The current electrical system on the island was installed in approximately 1975 and has not been upgraded since then. The electrical grid includes a generator house with 2 generators (main and backup) that power a main house and a guest house. The main power supply is solar panels on the main house roof with the generator power used when solar is unable to keep up with demand and to run the water filtration system on an as needed basis. The work location is in an extremely remote area and only accessible via boat through a narrow channel. Contractor will be responsible for the transportation of workers and materials to and from the island. All debris must be removed from the island and disposed of properly. Distance from dock to work location once on the island is approximately .4 miles over narrow unimproved coral/rock pathway. Bonds, insurance & prevailing min wages apply.
