Description
San Francisco Public Works (Public Works), City and County of San Francisco (City), intends to award contracts to a minimum of three (3) responsive, responsible, and qualified Contractors to create a prequalified group of contractors to provide Hazardous Materials Abatement Contracting Services on an as-needed basis. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply. Qualified Hazardous Materials Abatement Contractors shall perform work on an “if and as-needed” basis to assist in the handling of construction-related tasks in areas where contamination, environmental, and public health and safety issues are of concern. The work will involve as-needed labor, materials, equipment, insurance, and bonding to perform hazardous materials abatement services for property owned, operated, and/or maintained by the City and County of San Francisco (the City). Projects often emphasize asbestos abatement and lead removal but may include roofing, electrical, soft-demolition and mass-demolition, painting repairs and renovation work as they are incidental to other types of hazardous materials including but not limited to the cleanup, removal, abatement and or remediation of arsenic, mercury, PCB’s, fluorescent lights, transformers, ballasts, paints, chemicals, soils, thinners, toners, cleaning supplies, waste oils, mold, sewage, and pigeon/bird waste. term is three years.
