SOQ CMAR Twin Peaks Road, Rattlesnake Pass Widening, Marana, AZ

The Contractor selected to provide CM@Risk for pre-construction services for Twin Peaks, Rattlesnake pass Widening-Phase I will work closely with the Town to develop the following in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in Exhibits D and F: A comprehensive critical path method, resource loaded, construction schedule; Detailed phasing and sequencing plans, including traffic control plans, will be developed; Provide constructability, quality and quantity reviews of the plans and specifications; Propose cost saving and/or value engineering initiatives that accommodate the design intent; Work cooperatively with the Town to evaluate plans, specifications and construction schedule to accommodate the CMAR means and methods for construction of the project as necessary; Perform Pre-Construction advanced preparation services prior to the construction phase, which may include such services as subsurface utility investigations, utility relocations, survey layout, demolition, clearing and grubbing, plant salvage, fence installation/relocation, long lead item and other material procurement, preliminary grading, earthwork, SWPPP installations, detours, etc. The Contractor selected for the pre-construction services will be asked to develop a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) for the construction phase of the project. The Contractor may be requested to provide individual GMP proposals for specific construction phases, based on the specific phase construction documents. If the GMP is successfully negotiated with the Town, the Contractor will be authorized to proceed with the construction phase, using the construction schedule and phasing plans developed during the pre-construction services phase, pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth in Exhibits E and F. If a GMP cannot be negotiated the services of the Contractor will be terminated. The project will then be advertised as low-bid construction project.
