Description
The proposed project is approximately 5.4 miles long. The proposed work consists of patching, hot-mix asphalt surface removal and resurfacing of the mainline and shoulders, addition of safety shoulders for locations where there are currently not any, widening of existing shoulders over the causeway, replacement of the guardrail over the causeway, shoulder rumble strips, pavement markings, and raised reflective pavement markers. The mainline resurfacing thickness will be 2¼” of hot-mix asphalt binder and 1½” of hot-mix asphalt surface. The existing hot-mix asphalt shoulders resurfacing thickness will be 2”. The new full depth hot-mix asphalt shoulders are going to be 8”. Prevailing wages. EEO requirements. DBE goal is 1 percent.
