Standby Disaster Debris Removal, Bartow County, GA

Bartow County will accept sealed proposals for a standby contract for the initial seventy (70) hour road clearing push and long-term removal and disposal of debris generated by a disaster. The Scope of Work includes providing labor, tools, and equipment necessary for the immediate road clearing push and long-term debris removal and disposal services generated by a disaster. It is the intent of this solicitation to enter into an eighteen-month pre-event contract, which would result in no immediate cost to the county. This solicitation by Bartow County will result in the selection of three (3) experienced firms to move/remove and lawfully dispose of disaster-generated debris from public property and public rights-of-way and to setup and operate debris management sites (DMS), if authorized by the Fire Chief/EMA Director or designee following a disaster. Services may include, but are not limited to, large scale debris removal, separation, staging, and disposal; demolition work, construction, and demolition debris removal; hazardous waste handling; stump removal; marine salvage operations; sand removal from roads, streets, and rights-of-way at the request of Bartow County. The successful contractor shall provide a letter of bonding capacity showing the contractor’s ability to bond a minimum of thirty (30) million dollars.
