Description
The work includes mobilization and demobilization and the procurement and installation of materials for approximately 3,400 feet of 6 & 8-inch-diameter potable water main by open-cut method. The work includes replacing and/or reconnecting 84 water services, fire services and fire hydrants. Twelve (12) tie-ins to existing water mains are included along with various appurtenances including combination air/vacuum valves and blowoffs. Santa Cruz County Public Works approved traffic control is required. Abandonment of all existing main connection fittings, valves, and other existing isolation valves as related to the main replacement is required. Contractor shall apply Type II slurry seal to Bayview Dr. within project limits. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply. DBE incentives. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply. Time to complete is 137 working days from the notice to proceed.
