Osborn Road Complete Street - Hayden Road to Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, AZ

This project includes sidewalk, curb, and landscaping improvements along a mile stretch of Osborn Road from Scottsdale Road to Hayden Road, as well as the installation of a new roundabout at the intersection of Osborn Road and Miller Road. The roadway improvements will consist of new curb, gutter, sidewalk, sidewalk ramps, driveways, surface pavement replacement, utility adjustments & relocations and storm drain facilities at multiple points along the corridor. Traffic components will include traffic signing, pavement marking, new & relocated traffic signals, street & pedestrian lighting. Aesthetic improvements will be comprised of new landscaped medians, right of way & private property landscaping, hardscape elements and drip irrigation. Structural improvements include the installation of two (2) retaining walls and one (1) screen wall. The work covered by these special provisions consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and material necessary for the construction of improvements identified within the contract documents. The City supply of long lead items, if any, will be included in these contract documents. The Contractor should generally anticipate the following primary types of work along with related miscellaneous work to be completed in an acceptable manner for this project: Clearing and grubbing (to include landscape removal), Demolition and disposal of existing improvements, Roadway excavation, Grading and subgrade preparation, Asphalt concrete paving and sawcutting, Concrete paving and sawcutting, Concrete curb, gutters, sidewalks, sidewalk ramps, and driveways, Raised and stamped concrete medians, Storm drain modifications including pipelines and catch basins, Adjusting frames, covers and valve boxes, Fire hydrant and water meter relocations, Irrigation and water line relocations, Dry utility trenching and conduit placement, Permanent pavement markings and signing, Traffic signalization and street/pedestrian lights, Traffic control, Hardscape/Aesthetics, landscape planting and irrigation systems, Construction surveying, red lines and as-builts, and Materials Testing/Quality Control.
